I'm soo FULL!!!

Well this week has been good,.... well until I found out that my father almost died,! But I know God loves us and is watching over my family right now and that everything will be okay. I know as we continually serve God with all we have he will bless us!

This week was Elder Lor's last week!! He is doing great. He is excited but not.... at the same time! It looks hard to leave so hopefully it's not as hard as it looks ha ha! Since it was Elder Lors last week every member i swear wanted to feed him before he goes so we had so much food this week!! I feel 30 pounds heavier and disgusted with myself! :) We had two potlucks for him and then going to all the members houses its been nuts.

This week we had a really cool experience. So we were stopping by this potential that we had found and we had set an appointment up with her, but when we knocked on her door three times we got no answer! We were kinda down and as we were walking back to our bikes some man came running down the street and he was like are you guys Jehovah Witness? We were like... no we are Mormons. So we just started to teach him about the restoration and we invited him to be baptized right then and there and he said yes! It was really cool.... he told us that he had been praying for a sign from God that he would send someone to tell him about his church so it was really awesome...... and Elder Abbott is the coolest Elder in the world!!

My favorite thing about my mission is when you know you are an instrument in the hands of the Lord. Just like in Alma 5. I know that sincere prayer works and I know through prayer we can all be comforted and consoled through prayers.

Sorry I don't have much to write.... allot is going though my mind right now and I can't focus....I just got a call from President Clements and while I don't know who my companion is, I'm staying in Frogtown and I'm now the District Leader! So I got a new assignment which I'm really excited for and I'm so grateful to serve and be part of this mission.

Oh also this week me and Elder Lor spoke in church. It was crazy! There were so many people there it was cool....we were very popular! :) A hmong family from Oklahoma came up and then some members came up from Sacramento so it was packed.

Well overall a great week!!

Love you all.

Vajtswv kev hlub( God's love)‏

Nyob zoo!
Hello everyone well this week has been a great one Bryan got baptized! He scared us as he didn't show up until like ten min before 11 and that's when it started. Me and Elder Lor were freaking out because Pres. Clements came to it. It went really well..... such a great baptism and an awesome kid! We are now trying to work with his 13 year old sister who was supposed to get baptized with him but she backed out. I think it was really good experience for her to see her brothers baptism. He was confirmed the next day in church by the Branch Presidents son, the Branch President is white their name is President and Sister Hawton. They are a nice family. They have two boys, one is a senior and the other is a sophomore. They remind me so much of me and Hunter.....they both play sports allot and super funny!  They really are just like me and Hunter! and Pres. and Sister Hawton remind me of mom and dad... its cool! but the oldest son who is a senior his name is Siah, he just got his mission call to Salt Lake City East Mission and Park City is in his mission. I was like, "hey if your in Park City I will totally take you to lunch man! it was funny and exciting!

Well we get two new missionaries on Wednesday....we haven't gotten the call to see who is training but I have a feeling like I am. It's a little weird because they are coming in a week before our actual transfer date so transfer date is really next week and so if I'm training we will be in a three some for a week until Elder Lor goes home!  I will let you all know next week and we will already have had about a week to be with each other if I'm training.

We had an amazing time at the temple Thursday. It was great to go back to the temple and feel the love God has for us and the peace. Pres. Hugh says hi grandpa.  We are super excited because Pres. Clements changed the rules on going to the temple. It use to be, we had switch our p day to when we go to the temple and that we could only go once every 3 months. But now we can go every transfer and it doesn't have to be our p day! So we are excited to go allot more now. He thought that as we go to the temple to seek revelation we will have more miracles and more blessing upon us! So it's awesome.

This week I have been studying about Sanctification and Grace. I read an amazing talk on grace. here is a quote I liked from the talk it says: "We understand that God is long-suffering, that change is a process, and that repentance is a pattern in our lives. When we understand grace, we understand that the blessings of Christ’s Atonement are continuous and His strength is perfect in our weakness." I hope we all view our grace from God as not that were just saved but that grace is our fuel for us to keep going on the path of life! IT REQUIRES WORK! Be thankful for the grace Christ gives to us and for the wonderful gift we get to partake of which is Christs atonement! We need to sanctify ourselves to make us holy so we can bear witness that Jesus is the Christ and our Savior! Sanctification comes through yielding ourselves to the promptings of the Holy Ghost. I would encourage you all to listen and ask God for ways to sanctify yourself. I know it works, I know revelation comes! This week I have had wonderful revelation! I will not share it because it is sacred to me..but I want to let you know that God speaks to us when we have our trials and hardships. He answers through the grace of our Savior Jesus Christ!

I hope you all have an amazing week! Seek for revelation!

Hello everyone!
This Mother's Day week has been a great one, I don't know if this letter will be very long because I kinda told it all in the Skype call yesterday but here we go!

Well allot has happened this week its been a great one though! Last Monday we went laser tagging as a District. It was super fun to do something other than basketball every week! After that me and Elder Lor, on Tuesday taught Bryan who is a young man who is getting baptized this coming Saturday (18th) so we are super excited for him! He is a super funny kid! We told him he needs to read, pray, and ponder about the Book of Mormon and when he does he will feel the Holy Ghost and that will tell him it's true. So the next time we taught him we followed up with him on it and he was like well I prayed and pondered about it and I know it's true, I felt the Holy Ghost. It was really funny... he doesn't like reading but he is reading a little bit here and there!

It's so crazy how you get attached to the people on your mission. I just have this overwhelming love for the hmong people. I don't want to leave them! I would love to just stay here and live with them the rest of my life.

This week I went on exchanges with Elder Moss to east side, it was a great exchange. Elder Moss came out with Elder Angeles and Meyer so he is still new as well but we had a great exchange. It was cold and rainy one day of the exchange but oh well you move on with it!

So the other day me and Elder Lor biked 18 miles with wind guest up to 40mph. It was so exhausting but we had a great day. We picked up 3 new people that day! Satan always gives us things that make it so we can't find the investigators but we pushed through and overcame Satan.  I decided to start a Satan journal haha! because whenever the spirit is highest in our lessons something always happens to distracts them and it's really annoying so I decided to list all the times he tries to interrupt our teaching experiences.

But yeah nothing really new here! Today is my 6 months left mark I don't know what to do ha ha it's coming so fast but you just got to work your hardest and have no regrets!

Love you all!

P.S Me and Elder Lor took really cool pictures ha ha

Hello!

Hey everyone well this week has been really good for us here in the Frogtown area!!! Its been fun getting back on the bike and feeling like a real missionary without a car ha ha!! The car always seems nice when we are biking ha ha but oh well!

This week we set another date with a lady who is married and has 5 kids under 8. The father won't be ready for baptism for a little bit but we set her's for May 25! We are looking forward to 3 baptisms this month and hopefully they all go through!

Last week for p day we were playing basketball and I dominate everyone you know ha ha!! but after that we played dodge ball and Elder Abbott got hit super hard in the eye. I was like "oh man!" his eye was all swollen and he couldn't see out of it!! We went back to the apartment and he was acting funny and I was like, "Dude you got a concussion" and he was like, "no I don't" I was like, "dude you do! I have seen allot of them and I have had one before!" Later that night he called us and he was like, "man I threw up today!"  and I was like, "dude I told you, you had a concussion!!!" but now he is doing better and he can see out of it and so its all good! :)

It's really great! We are teaching allot and we are really busy and its been fun.

This week we had a zone training meeting and some Elder's from Wisconsin were supposed to come but it ended up they couldn't because where they were got 18 inches of snow!! It is crazy!! The weather is so bi-polar but oh well, i think it should start to warm up this week! I'm not use to the warm weather ha ha I'm just used to the cold!

We had a great zone training though we talked about just how to deepen our study's and stuff and I really love what Elder Holland says about personal study he says that missionaries make there mission during the personal study hours that we are God's investigators at that time and that we need to use that time wisley! I read an amazing talk this week it's by Pres. Uchtdorf. I will post the link for you: https://www.lds.org/liahona/2006/07/on-the-wings-of-eagles?lang=eng
It talks about relying on the Holy Ghost and things like that! I was reading in Ether this week and I was reading when God touches the stones for the brother of Jared, and as I thought to myself when God talks about the waves of the see and the winds will push them along I know those are like life's trials.... they appear bad and horrible to us but once we get through them we have grown to be a better person. We have reached the promise land and I look at how God works with us! Our trials may seem bad but they allow progression and change in our lives so that we can become Gods faithful sons and daughters!

Well I love you all and hope you have a wonderful week! Happy birthday Hunter love you and miss you a ton! #Brotherlylove!
   Love,
